Q1 Keeps New VL3500's Busy On Summer and Fall Tours

Q1 Production Technologies recently added VariLite's new VL3500 washes to its inventory of VL automated fixtures and Q1's VP Rentals, Craig Redden, says his experience with the new technology has been extremely positive since day one. The company recently wrapped up the hip-hop extravaganza Screamfest '07 tour as well as a North American tour with progressive metal band Dream Theater, and will have 40 of the fixtures on a 26-date tour with Kelly Clarkson beginning October 10th.

Redden says that the 3500's have been a significant part of the look of all three shows and that both he and his clients - Dream Theater Lighting Designer Bryan Hartley, Screamfest LD Fraser MacKeen and Clarkson LD Scott Holthaus, have been really impressed with the degree of intensity the new washes create. Redden says he looks forward to using the 3500's with other clients - particularly on the upcoming TSO tour, adding that "this new technology brings the vibrancy of VariLite's beautifully saturated colors to a whole new level".
